Cardio Alone Just Won’t Do - Find Out Why

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By Joshua Altshule All the cardio in the world will not give you a fit and toned body for the rest of your days, if that is all you do! Let’s look at what works, what doesn’t, and why? Cardio is the one form of exercise that most people gravitate to first. Take a look at your local gym….the weight equipment is empty but there is a line to use the cardio machines? This must mean cardio alone is the most successful form of exercise, right? The real answer to this question is…what are your goals? Cardio is a quick ticket to shedding those first few unwanted pounds, but without keeping to a regular regiment of strength training those pounds will come back with the same ease that they first left with. I advocate any form of healthy exercise but my real goal is healthy living and worry free “fit” body. Are you doing nothing more than contemplating exercise and watching the latest infomercial? Then get up and do anything physical that you enjoy and can do comfortably and safely, NOW! If you have a goal and you want to meet that goal within a given time frame lets talk strategy. Why strategy? For any successful goal their must be a plan of action. All goals must be clear and precise and all known obstructions should be removed from the equation. Knowing this, we need to rid our selfs of all the time consuming, unhealthy mistakes that can cause us months if not years of running around in circles with no visible finish line in reach. Examples: fad dieting, excessive cardio, weight loss supplements, so called target or spot reducing equipment ( Their is NO such thing). Now they we have eliminated the DONT’S, lets look at the DO’S and why? Nutrition- I hear all the time “I workout everyday so I can eat what I want.” True. If you burn daily what you eat daily you will not gain weight .You also won’t loose any! You can lift weights and do cardio all you want, but you wont lose the weight unless youre consistent with nutrition. If you consume too few calories youre body goes into starvation mode. This means you are training your body to store fat quicker. The body is designed to keep you alive. Let me tell you this is the most efficient machine you will ever find. Thanks to this. If you try to starve yourself your body will automatically store excess fat to survive since it does not know when it will be fed again. Cardio vascular Exercise / Aerobic Training - All people love this form of training above all others. It is great for so many reasons. It helps burn stored fat, can relieve stress, decrease blood pressure, increases physical appearance, decreases cholesterol. This is a great addition to your program. Alone it will give all initial benefits stated above temporarily. Why temporarily? Your LBM is what burns your calories. If all you do is cardio it’s the same as dieting. You will eventually lower your LBM lowering the amount of calories you burn. Take a day off of cardio and you have just stored a days worth of fat. How do you stop your LBM from lowering. That’s where the next method comes into play. Strength Training - This is where all the work actually pays off over and over. Cardio is great but only works while your actually doing it. Strength Training gives you benefits long after the workout is done. When you strength train ( overload your body) your body responds by giving you whatever is necessary to deal with and overcome the obstacle put in front of it. (remember the most efficient machine ever made). This means giving you more muscle and denser bones. I mentioned LBM above. Now let me explain what this stands for. Lean Body Mass. This includes all muscle, bone density, blood, organs, etc.. everything except for Body Fat. Now given this. We said LBM is the machine that burns our calories. If we raise our LBM we create a bigger machine that requires more fuel. ie.. Calories. By raising the amount of muscle on your body your body will burn more calories. One pound of muscle burns 50 calories in 24 hours and fat burns 3 calories in 24 hours. Muscle is the only metabolically active tissue in your body. By providing your body with more muscle you are allowing your body to burn more all day, while youre sleeping ,sitting anywhere you are your muscles will be demanding fuel from your body just to maintain it self. Leading to a higher and effective metabolism. The benefits from strength training are as follows * Increase in Cardiovascular System * Efficiency of burning stored fat * Increases metabolism * Increase strength * Increases lean muscle mass * Increase bone density * Increases physical appearance better Principle elements to a weight loss planWithout all three, permanent HEALTHY weight loss will not be achieved. 1. Nutrition (Nutrition is Approx 70% of the results you are looking for. This applies to both weight loss and muscle gain) 2.Cardio vascular Exercise / Aerobic Training ( This is the one main form of exercise where the body likes to use fat for fuel. This is a great tool. However by itself it can be detrimental to your long term weight loss) 3. Strength Training ( Here is the final key. Unfortunately it is the one method everyone tries to avoid. This one is going to give you the greatest bang for your buck. It’s the gift that keeps on giving) Weight loss with cardio alone will make you go from a big Apple shape to a small Apple shape. It will not develop muscle to give you an athletic shape. Teens and Forums - Do They Mix?

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By Mark Else Teens And Forums Teenagers and forums are normally a great mix (if they are correctly aimed at them). They provide teens with great resources, information and they can help build a better social life, their self-confidence and self-esteem. Forums Designed For Teens Forums that have been designed for teenagers often include topics such as:+ Help and Advice+ Sports+ Gaming+ Chat (general chat/not a chat room)+ Free Graphics (web graphics/Display Pics etc)There are other hot topics but ill let you find them for yourself. Another popular thing is to split certain forums/part of forums into boys/girls only sections, this allows them to talk about more personal stuff (normally sex related topics) without being pressured / embarrassed by the other sex. What Do Forums Provide? Forums can provide teens with a meaning, a place where they can be their self, and a place where they can be accepted for who they are on the inside and not for how they look outside. This in turn creates an environment where teens can communicate without any fears of discrimination and helps builds social skills, confidence and self-esteem. Why Is It A Good Idea? Forums that allow teens to voice their opinions, give advice and be their self are always a good idea as they empower teens to say things that they would not normally say because of embarrassment and/or because of peer-pressure. Round Up So to round this article up, if your making a website aimed at teenagers then it is a positive to have some sort of forum available where they can voice their opinions and speak their minds. Kenai Fishing

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

By Jim Hanson Kenai fishing has a reputation among sportsmen everywhere as some of the best fishing in the world. Located in beautiful south central Alaska, the Kenai Peninsula is home to, of course, the world famous Kenai River and is dotted with many secluded lakes and ponds perfect for Kenai fishing. The area has many varieties of salmon, dolly varden, rainbow trout, black bass, arctic char, sockeyes, and many other kinds of fish. A Kenai fishing trip is the key to a real Alaskan adventure vacation. In 2004 Field & Stream magazine named this area North Americas number one fishing hotspot, and for good reason. The Kenai River has been home to many record breaking and noteworthy catches. The world record King Salmon catch that topped the scales at just over 97 pounds was caught by Les Anderson, a long time Soldotna, Alaska resident, while Kenai fishing. It was several hours before the fish was officially weighed and recorded and many fish and game experts have agreed that the King Salmon was probably well over 100 pounds when he was caught. Soldotna now holds an annual King Salmon Derby, and the next person out Kenai fishing who catches a King Salmon larger than Andersons, will also win $50,000 from the town. Not only does the area boast of much natural beauty and many record breaking catches- it has an unusually long fishing season as well. This not only makes Kenai fishing popular among anglers but helps keep the Kenai Peninsula from overcrowding, so you can enjoy the famous Alaskan solitude while on your Kenai fishing trip. With the popularity of Kenai fishing, it should be of no surprise that you will find many options to make your fishing trip one to remember. Whether you are a fly fisherman, saltwater fisherman, expert, or just starting out, you will find a guided fishing tour or charter that appeals to you and your level of experience. During Kenai fishing, you will find accommodations ranging from small fishing cabins, to world class resorts, and everything in between. The Opportunity Lesson

Monday, January 28th, 2008

By Daniel Belcher An opportunity is a chance or an opening in which we might be compelled to take some kind of action or make a movement towards something we desire. We are provided with many opportunities doing our daily activities. We will normally only act or take opportunities which are familiar to us. Opportunities provide us with a chance for change because taking opportunities provides a door towards greater growth. The more we look for opportunities, the more openings we will find. Looking for opportunities will give us more chances for greater change to take place in our lives.Seeing a greater number of opportunities will help us to take the best course of action. So, it is our job to be aware of our many doors of opportunity that present themselves. When opportunities presents themselves to us, we must first evaluate the risks involved. If some people have determined the risk is to high; they will hesitate to take that particular opportunity. If an opportunity presents little risk to exposure or harm, we will readily move in such cases. Everyone has a different risk level during their evaluation process. We must all evaluate the risk that we are willing to take for our own selves. Our solutions have to be seen in the opportunities that life gives us. We often look to see what will be the end result of certain opportunities. Even though, sometimes the end result of an opportunity cannot be seen; it can only be perceived. We may decide that the chance is still worth the risk. The more opportunities we see in life, the more end results we can be perceived. Opportunities require that we make or take some action to activate the process. We can think about opportunities all day long, but if we take no action in this process, the opportunities in life will continue to pass us by. We need to have the strength and fortitude to make the required actions or movements. If we have no strength, than we have no action. The optimum situation is for us to have the strength to make the necessary action towards our many life opportunities. Opportunities are something that we all have to watch for in life. We have to realize that there are varying degrees of risk in all opportunities. We need to have the drive to move forward when our chances appear. Too many opportunities in life pass us by; we have to be ready for opportunities call. We must make the best out of every opportunity. Our opportunities are similar to the wind, ever changing and ever present. Healthy Hair Secrets

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

By John Socratous Ever wondered why some people have luscious hair that is shiny and never looks out of place, and why you don’t? A healthy hair makeover is surprisingly not too hard to achieve. All you need to do is learn a few healthy hair secrets and try a little home maintenance. Onwards Great Hair Starts With a Good CutA professional haircut will ensure that your hair is free from damaged and spit ends and will make your hair look healthy. Seeing a professional will also give you the opportunity to get the right cut for your hair type and texture. Follow up visits which include regular trims will also guarantee that your hair will look and feel its best. Healthy Hair Is Hydrated HairDrink plenty of water. Water not only hydrates your skin and body, it also hydrates your hair. Product OverloadDon’t use too many products. Product overload will weigh your hair down and make it look tired and greasy. Remember this rule: One product to style and one product to finish with. Heat Styler HazardIf you use a heat styler such as a hair-dryer, straightener or curling iron, then make sure to apply a heat protection product first. Heated stylers can zap your hair of moisture and leave your strands frizzy and hard to manage. Sleeping BeautyWhen you are sleeping your body is working its hardest to repair damage, including any hair damage, so plenty of sleep is a must. To further help your hair achieve its healthy best, try sleeping on a satin pillowcase. This will stop your hair from rubbing as you sleep and will control fly-aways. Moisture MadnessTry an intensive conditioner once a week to keep your locks moisturized and to keep your hair soft. To get the best from your deep treatment, apply it to your hair then cover with plastic wrap or a plastic shower cap and leave for ten minutes before rinsing out. This will add heat and allow the treatment to penetrate. For a deeper condition, wrap a warm towel over the plastic wrap. Product PlacementChoose the right products for your hair. If you’ve styled with the right products for your hair type and washed with the right shampoo then your hair should be naturally shiny and manageable. If it’s not, see your stylist and get an expert opinion on what will work best for your hair. Balanced EatingEating a well-balanced diet which is full of healthy proteins and lots of vitamins will keep your hair glowing. Not to mention your skin and your waistline! The Crazy Amazing Diet Maker

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

By Michael Smith, MD This past Christmas Season, as most of us stuffed our faces full of turkey and pies, a well respected weight loss expert from WebMD made some crazy remarks about ending obesity. Needless to say, the response to his rhetoric, despite the Christmas Season, was naughty not nice. Dr. George D. Lundberg, Editor-in-Chief for Medscape General Medicine, had this to say about his “crazy” diet idea: “Ho! Ho! Ho! Here we are in the holiday season right between those 2 great American days of gluttony. What is Scrooge’s holiday greeting this year? It is about overeating, of course. How can we stop the obese from becoming more obese? Pretty simple. Stop feeding them. Think about the other common self-destructive human behaviors. On a commercial airplane, in a saloon, or at a professional sports event, if the customer is deemed to be drunk, the keepers of the booze key will lock the cabinet. If a person drives a car at a dangerous speed, the driver is subject to substantial penalties. For young persons known to be at high risk for early chemical addictions, society tries to prevent exposure to the addicting drugs. Overeating with underexercising is now killing more Americans than anything else except tobacco addiction. Yet, an obese person enters an eating joint, or a supermarket, and buys and eats any and everything he or she wants, and nobody seems to care. Does that make any sense to you? Meanwhile, Big Science strives to understand why people get fat; Big Genetics searches for the obesity gene so that stem cells could correct the flaw; Big Surgery lines up the morbidly obese to shunt their stomachs; Big Pharma seeks the next weight-loss pill that will help more people than it kills; Big Nutrition hawks the newest sure-thing, weight-loss diet; Big Fast Food pushes “healthy food” lines right next to their billion dollar unhealthy food lines; Big Soda and Big School Boards share the profit from drowning kids with calories from vending machines; and Big Exercise pushes group rates for aerobics class. Money made by so many special interests. All this while the simple answer is to stop eating; stop feeding the obese until they are no longer obese. Of course, that may be hard to do, and who makes any money that way? Fat chance for this crazy idea to go anywhere. That’s my opinion. I’m Dr. George Lundberg, Editor of MedGenMed. Happy Holidays!” Now, as you can imagine, health care providers, dieters, and web surfers were not happy with his remarks. They immediately and appropriately attacked, firing back with real science facts, healthy weight loss tips and the benefits of regular exercise. It was nice to see the real experts come out for a day or two and make some noise. One of the experts is Jon Robison, PhD, from Michigan State. He said: “It is truly hard to believe that MedGenMed would print an editorial[1] so scientifically inaccurate and ethically unconscionable (”How to Prevent the Obese From Becoming ‘Obeser’). As a health professional (doctorate in health education and masters degrees in exercise physiology and nutrition), I am even more dismayed that this hateful diatribe was written by a fellow health professional — and a medical doctor no less!Never mind that the doctor is obviously not familiar with the latest information from the CDC [US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], showing that the link between weight and mortality has likely been greatly exaggerated. Never mind that the analogies to alcohol and illegal drugs are inept at best — hard to imagine abstinence from food as a viable alternative. The most egregious aspects of this editorial are the outright prejudice and moral disgust it portrays. There is certainly no great argument with the contention that many Americans could increase their exercise and eat more healthfully. However, prejudice raises its ugly head when the contention is made that it is possible to discern who is or is not eating or exercising properly by merely looking at the size and shape of one’s body! Most Americans (fat or thin) are not getting enough exercise, and the research is clear that fatness and fitness are not mutually exclusive.Condemning a fat person’s eating, or assuming that a thin person is eating well (can you say anorexia nervosa?), is no different from concluding that a person is less intelligent by looking at the color of his/her skin. Judging people’s intelligence, health, or behaviors based on how they look is not science; it is prejudice — and prejudice has no place in our culture or in our healthcare system. We can do and be so much better than this!” Mary Emerson, MS, a Clinical Dietitian from Spring Harbor Hospital in Westbrook, Maine, had this to say (emphasis added): “You compared your solution of not feeding an obese person[1] to an intoxicated person not being served in a bar, yet we know that that hasn’t cured alcoholism. Gastric bypass surgery is one of the most popular elective surgical procedures. The answer for the cure is far more complex than simply training more surgeons to do the procedure or not allowing overweight people to purchase baked goods. Just as prohibition did not eliminate alcoholism, these measures will not eliminate obesity. Rather, we need to change how we approach our medical care, not to solve the problem once there is a problem, but to achieve a healthier lifestyle with emphasis on not only our physical health, but also our mental health and emotional well-being.I believe that it is very important in mental health to evaluate the risks of obesity on our patients, not in decreasing longevity, but in decreasing the quality of their lives by lowered self-esteem and health complications, such as feeling tired, weak, and unable to take part in many activities that they previously enjoyed.” Wonderful! Finally the truth. No fad diets, no rapid weight loss, no “eat anything you want and still lose weight” lies…just pure science coming from the real experts who care. Maybe Dr. Lundberg isn’t so crazy after all…or maybe he is. Either way, it was a good day! Healthy Living! Michael A. Your Brain Can Help You Lose Weight Or Make You Fat!

Friday, January 25th, 2008

By Tracy Lee Have you done this before? You have set your weight loss goals and mapped out your plan to lose all those excess pounds that you have been dying to get rid off. In your mind, you have psyched yourself up — this time you are going all the way out to lose all those pounds! “Nothing can stop me,” you tell yourself. Then, you rationalize that… 1) In order for you to succeed in your weight loss goals, you must follow a super-strict diet and exercise routine. and/or 2) If you happen to go off track in your diet or exercise routine by eating your favorite high-calorie junk food and skipping your exercise session, this means you have totally blown off your plan altogether. Sound familiar? I sure hope not! This train of thought can be very detrimental to your weight loss efforts, but it’s all too easy to fall into this trap. And not only is it very harmful to your body, it actually lowers your self-esteem too. Your brain can help you to lose weight, or it can make you fat. If you want to lose weight successfully, you’ll need to have the right thoughts in your brain. Conversely, holding on tight to the wrong concepts can (and will!) jeopardize your plans! Here’s what you should do instead… 1) Get rid of the word “DIET” from your thoughts Firstly, you must shake off the idea that you absolutely have to follow an extremely restrictive diet in order to lose weight successfully. In fact, most people who are able to lose their unwanted weight successfully DO NOT diet. What they do is simply change their lifestyle such as practicing portion control, moderation, cutting back on calories and curbing their emotional eating bouts. It’s time to change your focus from weight loss to weight management. It is not just losing weight, it is about changing your lifestyle so that you can maintain your weight loss. And do you notice how most women like to use the word “diet” every time they want to lose weight? We “go on” and “go off” diets after every holiday season; we say “I start on Monday” only to go off it by the weekend. Nobody says “I start my new way of life on Monday.” But that’s exactly what we need to do. An effective diet isn’t just for Christmas or just a very special occasion, it’s for your whole life. We need variety not only for our nutritional reasons. It is also to satisfy ourselves, and to take care of our “wants.” So, you need to create your own healthy lifestyle… the lifestyle that you want, and one that’s sustainable for the long term. Be wary of any plan that restricts entire food groups, or if it relies on just 1 type of food (e.g. soup or salad) as its mainstay. Believe me, I’ve been there and done that. If you go on a diet that requires you to eat all the food that you hate or totally omits your favorites, you are going to dread your meals and are bound to fail. Even if you manage to lose the weight, all your pounds (and probably more!) will creep back once you are off the diet. 2) Do NOT give up your favorite foods Another thing that most women would do initially is severely limiting their food intake. Or they completely cut off their favorite foods. This is one thing that you should never do. “Why?” Well, by doing that, it sets you up for binges and your temptation for these foods would definitely increase. Instead, you should reduce your consumption slowly. For example, you always have desserts after dinner. Instead of cutting off totally, you start by reducing your portion size to half. Thus, the temptation becomes much less powerful when you have just the taste of something “bad” now and again instead of telling yourself that it is off limits for good. After a while, you will find yourself accustomed to the new portion sizes, and you’ll be able to satisfy your craving with just a small amount of your “super sinful” foods. 3) Forgive and move on… So, you decide to keep your favorite foods in your weight loss plan. You allow yourself a chocolate cookie everyday. But, you could not resist the temptation and you finish half of the pack. Next day afternoon, you finish the remaining half of the chocolate cookies pack for your afternoon tea. Gee, have you blown your weight loss plan again? Does that mean you should just give up the idea of losing those extra pounds and go back to my old eating habits? Well, not allowing yourself to make mistakes is the worst mistake you can ever make. Seriously. Having this all-or-nothing thinking is a way to let you off the hook. It is an escape route that you create for yourself. In your mind, you could be telling yourself, “Oh well. It is all gone. I guess I don’t have to bother anymore. Give me my cookies.” There’s an old saying that goes, “No matter how far along you are down the wrong path, it’s never too late to turn back.” So don’t think just because you made bad choices today, you can’t start over tomorrow. Everyday is truly a new beginning. You do not have to wait until a new year, a new month or a Monday to start all over again. You can’t erase last night’s binge, but you can aim for a much healthier today! 4) Create a lifestyle you want Many times, when you want to lose weight, you will plan up a very strict diet and exercise routine for yourself. Well… there is a high chance that you would not be able to execute it successfully. To make things worse, you hate it. Why not aim to create a healthy lifestyle you want so that you do not give up your favorite foods? You must create a realistic and achievable weight loss plan. After all, you want to plan to SUCCEED, not to fail, right? If you find difficulty in creating a good plan for yourself, or if you can’t seem to discipline yourself to stay true to your plan, I suggest that you engage a personal trainer to help you. 5) Celebrate your small victories Every time you achieve a small milestone, go ahead and reward yourself. But do not over-indulge. For example, you can reward yourself a small ice-cream once you have managed to complete your first week of exercise routines. Or when you lose your first 3 pounds, you can treat yourself a slice of cheese cake. Remember, it is alright to reward yourself for the small challenges you have overcome so that you won’t give up so easily. Let it be something you look forward to every time you surmount a challenge. If you set up your rewards properly, they’ll motivate you on a daily basis and you’ll find it easier to follow your weight loss plans! Bonus: And here’s one more extra tip… Don’t stress yourself. Take it easy on yourself as you’re learning how to be a new, improved and healthier you. After all, you’re only human… a soon-to-be-much-lighter human! Good News Travels Fast

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

By Keith Thirgood This newsletter is full of opportunities staring you in the face. If you don’t believe me, write and tell me so–and by doing that you’d be proving me right. That would make you a proactive marketer: spotting a marketing opportunity in an everyday activity. For instance: Something most of us do every day is read the paper, and though they may not seem like business issues at first glance, editorials or news items offer one of those marketing opportunities. How does that merger, government legislation, tax increase, tornado–or whatever–affect your business, your industry, your clients? Take a position on the subject, and write a letter to the editor to tell them. Include your company name in the body of the letter. Readers often give more credence to opinions of business leaders, and it gets your name out there. Act immediately. After reading the paper, set aside some time to respond. Then go over your response carefully. (It’s easy to fire off a letter, but you might regret sending something not fully thought out.) Your letters may not be used every time, but when one is, it goes a long way to building your image as an expert. Another marketing opportunity arises when you see an article that might be of interest to one of your clients. Clip and send it to them with a note. Even if they’ve already seen it, your client will appreciate the gesture. It shows you take them and their business seriously. That was easy. Now, what about all those items that don’t directly relate to you or your existing clients? Some may mean more to you than you think. Electronic or print, the news media are chock full of marketing information. As you read, watch or listen, be prepared to capture vital information. Pen and paper by your side can’t hurt. Every day, companies you should be prospecting appear in the news. Jot down the spokesperson’s name and title; if you’re lucky the report may even provide a number to call. Companies like putting their people in front of the media (because they can say all the positive things about themselves the media won’t). Pick out the companies you are interested in marketing to, and call them. The news item doesn’t have to be a positive story; the negative ones may hold more opportunity. However, don’t assume a company facing tough decisions automatically wants you. They may react quite nastily to that assumption. The person in the news story may not be the right one to discuss your ideas with, but they are an in, so contact them first. When you call, mention where you saw or heard them, make some positive comment on the coverage, then quickly move on to the reason for your call. They will appreciate knowing how their PR is working, and will, no doubt, feel that you’re not wasting their time with insubstantial chit chat. From this point, the call becomes like any other exploratory sales call. You can’t afford to sit on these opportunities. News has a short shelf life. Because of the number of news items we are bombarded with, you should only focus on a couple at a time. Don’t worry if you miss some, we are fed a constant stream of potentially useful information, so you’ll never run out of targets. It’s hard enough to keep on top of daily events pertinent to your field. It’s harder still, when using them for their marketing potential, to stay up to date, and to act quickly. But it’s vital, because with marketing, timing is everything. Opportunities lie on every page and in every broadcast. Your success in using them for marketing depends on their relevancy to your field, and on your ability to act quickly. Use the news to turn yourself into a proactive marketer. Celebrating Wedding Anniversaries

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

By CD Mohatta The day of wedding that was awaited since long is gone. The couple has joined millions of other couples in the dull existence of life. A routine life with nothing exciting. Instead of flowers and love notes, they talk more of budgets, pipe leaks and groceries. That is life. The dreams are long over and one is facing the reality of life. The fairy tale romance is lost and day-to-day drudgery has taken its place. What a tragedy, but that is life. With arrival of children, the couple many a times forgets about its own existence and worries more about the way the child is growing up, the issues related to children’s physical, mental and all-round growth and so on. Where is the place for the romance that they shared sometime ago? That is life. Our hero who at one time admired his heroine’s hair, gets irritated by looking at the strands fallen around in the bathroom. Our heroine who was so enamored by our hero’s strength, now wants him to get up on the ladder and fix the loose fittings. The quality that one admired once remains same, but the viewpoint changes. Life takes a turn that no one expected. Those who read romantic novels, always find written at the end - And they lived happily ever after. The novelist is very intelligent. How to talk of silly chores in a romantic novel? So the novel closes at the right spot. But, we readers forget that life must have been very difficult for our valiant couple of the novel. We would never like to know about the fights that would ensue between our hero and heroine about unpaid bills after they got married. That is life. What does one write in the message for congratulating a couple on their wedding anniversary? Please help the couple bring the romance back in their life with your message. Life will no doubt continue with the same dull days and tense nights. The problems will not go away. But why forget the romance that the couple shared once? That romance brought them together at the first place. Why not help them revive the memories, and begin another phase of romancing with greater passion? Please send your anniversary messages that rekindle the dying romance. Let love conquer all. I write for ecards on Weddings, Engagements and New Baby. The Economist Assaults Jerusalem

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

By David Ben-Ariel “The last conquest of Jerusalem” by the Economist magazine predicts “Israel’s plans for Jerusalem will create a large Jewish city but will have harsh consequences for the Palestinians….” Doesn’t the Economist know that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel? Doesn’t the Economist know that Israel is the Jewish homeland? Doesn’t it stand to reason, then, that the capital of the Jewish homeland should be a large Jewish city? And is the Economist so uninformed they didn’t realize that the resident Arabs’ standard of living has been raised with the restoration of Jewish rule over the Jews’ ancient capital Jerusalem, as well as throughout the Holy Land? Any “harsh consequences for the Palestinians” are of their own making. It is unbelievable but true that the Israelis didn’t evict their sworn enemies from Jerusalem when they liberated Judaism’s holiest city during the Six Day War in 1967. A related Economist article about Jerusalem’s holy places - “the heart of holy war” - refers to the “Old City and its holy sites, the stumbling-block of countless peace negotiations, will be put finally out of bounds to all but the couple of hundred thousand Palestinians living in Jerusalem, and the lucky few others who can get visiting permits. Moreover, the wall is just one part of a gradual and complex process of Israeli takeover.” Interesting, and most ironic, that the Economist should use such biblical language to describe Jerusalem as a “stumbling block,” when they’re falling for the big lie of the “Palestinians” and promoting their divisive agenda to tear the heart of Jerusalem in two, that plays right into the hands of the German-Jesuit EU that has its evil eye upon the Temple Mount. Zechariah 12:2-3 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” Has The Economist foolishly joined with the dark forces drunk on the delusion that Jerusalem should become “an international city,” stripped of Israeli sovereignty, aiding and abetting those who plot a gradual and deceitful process of foreign takeover? Is the Economist so ignorant of both the Bible and history that they fail to recognize Jerusalem and Israel were already taken over by squatters; that those with illegitimate claims to the Promised Land of Israel (not Ishmael) have coveted the Jewish homeland with an insane jealousy, and that the Jews have only just begun the liberation of the Holy Land? (Notwithstanding the valley of the shadow of death Israel has descended into, misled by treacherous leaders who have sold out to foreign interests, paving the way for EU occupation before the process of redemption is fulfilled). Israel is to be blamed for not immediately expelling their sworn enemies who forfeited any rights they might have had to remain in the land when they engaged in wars of genocide against the Jews. As a harsh consequence of such sinful inaction, such woeful neglect and dereliction of politico-religious duty, every major Arab group and organization within Israel brazenly continues to call for the destruction of Israel; they remain a constant source of friction (Numbers 33:55-56), the prophesied pricks in Israel’s side and represent thorny issues that won’t simply go away — but must, with decisive Jewish leadership, be sent away, as former Israeli Parliament Member and rabbi, Meir Kahane, with great foresight and wisdom called for, saying: “They must go!” Israel, as a result of an ever growing debt of national sin (Dan. 9:11), suffers the curse of wicked leaders like Ariel Sharon and Shimon Peres and now Ehud Olmert with the corrupt Kadima, kapos of compromise, who would rather evict Jews from their homes than drive out Nazi-Muslims! Israel’s surrendered “land for peace” and yet the Israelis find themselves with a lot less land and not an inch closer to peace, and they still follow the failed formula, insanely expecting different results, trusting the leopard will somehow change its spots. The last conquest of Jerusalem is near. Watch for the Vatican and its useful idiots, its puppet politicians and unholy religious leaders, become an international chorus of discontent, demanding the enforcement of UN Resolution 181 as the final solution for Jerusalem. All of this was foretold. Jerusalem will suffer a brutal betrayal and foreign occupation that carves up the heart of Israel and pollutes the Temple Mount. Zechariah 14:1-4 1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst. 2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. 4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south. Psalm 118:26 26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! The good news is that the prophesied Gentile occupation of Jerusalem will only last for 3 1/2 years before help from on High, the Son of Man, is sent to liberate Jerusalem from its last conquest, shaking up the New World Order and leaving it in rubble, establishing in its place the legitimate Kingdom of God-Beings.
